I have a lot of feedback for you and a lot of resources. My best advice to you is to 1) learn as much about the country before you come (you probably already have) and then 2) come and see it for yourself (if you haven't already).
I have LOTS of friends who are married to Kuwaitis. Some came here and loved it, others came here and hated it. It is kind of like going to visit Florida when you live in New York; or Iowa if you live in California. It is a different place with a different flavor and either you're into it or you're not.
Working here in a medical profession is kind of a bummer, but things are looking up; there are a lot of new hospitals going up (including several very good private ones).
There are a lot of good resources like the American Business Council of Kuwait and the American Women's League.

OMG - I finally figured out how to get into this crazy blogger system (a year later). I am most excited about you responding. I stumbled across your blogs about a year ago, and have really enjoyed the information you share.
My husband and I will be in Kuwait, May 24th through June 6th. I'm really kind of excited to see it with him for the first time. I'm not sure what to expect, but I am an open-minded individual and are looking forward to seeing my in-laws on there turf for a change.
Maybe we can coordinate a meeting?? I loved the blog about your Mom visiting - those are special times I'm sure.

I am 49(wow)years old - very youthful thanks to my three daughters. I have been married for 21 years to a man from Kuwait. I am from a large family and most recently my extended family in Kuwait are trying to get us to move to Kuwait. My husband is struggling with the decision, along with myself. I work for an orthopaedic surgeon and love my coworkers like family (wonderful friends).
